Mrs. Polly Fitzgerald Grizzle

Mrs. Polly Fitzgerald Grizzle, age 79 of Gainesville, Georgia passed away Monday, June 22, 2026, at Crossroads of Flowery Branch Nursing Home.

A daughter of the late Inez Fitzgerald Hill, she was born December 23, 1946, in Stephens County, Georgia, having lived most of her life in Gainesville.  She enjoyed gospel music, loved to sing, enjoyed going to church and going to eat at Golden Coral and loved crocheting.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Grizzle and by a sister, Linda Hill.

She is survived by two sisters, Brenda Jaworski and Patricia Dianne McIntyre both of Gainesville; brother, James Samuel Hill; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 2 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Joey Allen officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jason McIntyre, Sammy Hill, J.D. Saylors, Jr., Greg Hill, Randall Whitfield and Adam Bearden.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Interment will follow in the Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery with Jason McIntyre officiating.
