Mrs. Pamela “Bobbi” Lauren Howey King

Mrs. Pamela “Bobbi” Lauren Howey King of Toccoa passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center at the age of 74.

Born November 18, 1945 in Portsmouth, England, Bobbi was the daughter of the late Henry Howey and Elizabeth Humphries. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gainesville, Georgia. A lover of antiques and collectibles, she and her husband Bob were co-owners of Buy the Tracks Antiques and More.

Known for her quick wit and determined nature, Bobbi had an incredibly strong spirit. She loved her family, books and Cadbury chocolates. She adored her dogs and referred to them as her four-legged “kids.” On her happiest days, she could be found joyfully dancing in her kitchen to K.T. Oslin and Elvis.

She will be remembered with love by her husband, Robert “Bob” King of Toccoa; sons, Mark Lewallen of Cleveland, Bryan Echols of Oakwood, and Michael Echols of Gainesville; daughters-in-law, Laura Lewallen and Lisa Echols; step-sons, Robert D. King and Dr. Stephen King; step-daughter, Bethaney Lynn King; her sister Peggy Lawrence and niece, Valerie Fleming. For her grandchildren, Robert Lewallen, Alexis Owen, great grandson, Craig Bray and step-grandchildren Michaela and Samuel Weis, their “Mere” will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kayla Lewallen, who is waiting for her in Heaven.

Special thanks to Jessie Miller for making it possible for us to visit Bobbi in her last days and to the staff at Northeast Georgia Medical Center for making her final hours comfortable.

Due to the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be receiving friends or having a service at this time. A memorial service to celebrate Pamela’s life will be scheduled as soon as possible. Whitlock Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
