Mrs. Millie Christine Collins Howard

Mrs. Millie Christine Collins Howard, age 84 of Cherry Street, Toccoa passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at her home.

 

A daughter of the late Till and Lila Morgan Collins, she was born April 25, 1936 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was retired from Lanier Clothing (Wright’s Manufacturing) after 56 years of service. She was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church and the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jimmy L. Howard, by four brothers and four sisters.

 

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Cathy Howard, daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Eddie Davis all of Toccoa; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lou White of Eastanollee and Donna Dodd of Charlotte, North Carolina.

 

Graveside services will be Saturday, October 3, 2020, 11 O’clock a.m. at the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Reverend John Thomas officiating. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed.

 

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jamie Davis, Joel Strickland, Justin Ledford, Randy Dockery, Michael Herron and Burt Holmes.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gideons International P.O. Box 663 Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mrs. Millie Christine Collins Howard.

 

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Christine Collins Howard.
