Mrs. Mary Ruth Smith Hall

Mrs. Mary Ruth Smith Hall, age 87 of Owen Street, Toccoa passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Rance and Ethel Holbrooks Smith, she was born March 23, 1934 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life.  She was a homemaker and loved to crochet and cook for her family.  She was a member of Hill Street Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Lee, Charles, John, Travis and Willie Smith and by three sisters, Oveline McDonald, Velma Jenkins and Dorthie McCurry.

Survivors include a son, Hoyt Hall of Toccoa; two daughters, Pamela Hendrix of Toccoa and Hope Allen of Lavonia; grandchildren, Andrew Bolmon, Amber Bolmon, Leshay Cingel, Heather Stowers and Cassandra Allen; great-grandchildren, Ariana Cingel, Ladashia Cingel, Jeremiah Jacob Carter, Bridgett Carter and Bentley Bolmon; sister, Lucille  Harmon of Anderson, South Carolina; close friend of the family, Kizzi Akin.

Graveside services will be Thursday, January 13, 2022, 2 O’clock p.m. at Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Paul Garrison officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Andrew Bolmon, Jeremy Carter, Alex Steffins, Ben Westmoreland, Joey Cingel and Brian Dodd.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until time to leave for the service.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Mary Ruth Smith Hall.
