Mrs. Marilyn Woodall Charles Stowe

Mrs. Marilyn Woodall Charles Stowe, age 85, of Toccoa, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Pruitt Health – Toccoa.

Born June 10, 1940 in Habersham County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Lester Woodall and Edith Dalton Woodall.

Mrs. Stowe graduated from Tallulah Falls High School and spent most of her adult life in Toccoa.  She worked in retail sales at various businesses, and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angelia and Wayne Darling, of Comer, GA; step-daughters, Tracey Merck and Susan Young; sisters, Debbie Wood (Tommy) of Clarkesville, GA, and Regina Long of Cornelia, GA; and first husband, Byard Charles.

Mrs. Stowe was one of seven siblings.  She was preceded in death by sisters, Sara Worley of Clarkesville, GA, Velma Hughes of Atlanta, GA, Judy McAllister of Cornelia, GA; and brother Ben Woodall of Idaho.  She was also preceded in death by her second husband, James Morris Stowe, of Toccoa.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2pm – 3pm Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary at three o’clock Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers:  Malcolm Fry, Dennis Brittain, Byard Charles, Brian Clark, Tommy Wood and Dylan Clark.
