Mrs. Jewel Jessie Fulbright Powers

Mrs. Jewel Jessie Fulbright Powers, age 104 of Mize Road, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at her residence.

 

A daughter of the late William Lester and Lula Jane Medlin Fulbright, she was born November 10, 1916 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was retired from Coats and Clark and was a member of Gateway Community Chapel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edwin (Skinny) Powers.

 

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, George and Ann Powers and Eddie and Terri Powers both of Eastanollee; grandchildren, Cindy and Lance Cannon, Jeremy and Tonya Powers, Michael and Stephanie Powers, Blake and Kristina Powers, Catherine Bridges and Ben and Shelby Bridges; great-grandchildren, Hannah Cannon, Hayden Cannon, Cohen Whitmire, Graham Powers. Brooks Powers, Reece Powers, Charlie Powers, Mac Powers, Aria Powers, Kip Powers and Cooper Bridges; sister, Leola Edmonds of Toccoa; sister-in-law, Peggy Fulbright of Toccoa; a number of nieces, nephews and a special thank you to her long term care giver Patricia Taylor.

 

Funeral; services will be Thursday, February 4, 2021, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Don Scott officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jeremy Powers, Michael Powers, Blake Powers, Lance Cannon, Ben Bridges, and Jeff Carter.

 

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed. Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Jewel Jessie Fulbright Powers.
