Mrs. Janet McPherson Patterson
Mrs. Janet McPherson Patterson, age 88 of Carnesville, Georgia passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, surrounded by her family.
A daughter of the late Thomas McPherson and Helena Gertrude Hildreth McPherson, she was born March 17, 1937, in New Haven, Connecticut, having lived in Franklin County, Georgia most of her life. She enjoyed going to church at Nails Creek Baptist where she was a member and enjoyed singing in the choir and various other church activities. Her hobbies included needle point, cross stitch, dancing, camping and picnics and bird watching.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Edward Patterson, two sons, Tommy Patterson and Louie Patterson and by a son-in-law, Dennis Dean.
She is survived by two daughters, Andrea Dean of Lavonia and Anita Patterson of Carnesville; son-in-law, Terry King; grandchildren, Amber (Jason) Sparks, Kelly (Justin) Newman, Helena (CJ) Christopher, Jacob (Lyndsay) Dean, Michael Hart; Adam (Megan) King; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 2, 2026, 2 p.m. at Nails Creek Baptist Church with The Reverend Duane Eller and The Reverend Shane Pauley officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jacob Dean, Adam King, Mark Arial, Jason Sparks, CJ Christopher, Brian Nash and Shannon Dean.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, March 1 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Nails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with The Reverend Dr. Tommy Childress officiating.
