Mrs. Helen Virginia Cabe Dietrich

Mrs. Helen Virginia Cabe Dietrich, age 90, of Toccoa, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born July 8, 1935 in Toccoa, she was the daughter of the late Mount and Sarah Slay Cabe.

Mrs. Dietrich retired from the Stephens County Board of Education where she was the Records Secretary at Stephens County High School.  Helen was a member of the Toccoa First Baptist Church.

Family members include her son, Dr. Ken Dietrich; nieces, Monette Addison, Lavonne Dean (Terrell), Shuwan Rogers (Earl), Pamela Evans (Kenny), Diane Adams (Kyle), and Wanda Kirkman; and nephews, Derrick Addison and Scott Cabe (Eilene).

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Dietrich; sisters, Pauline Addison and Dorothy Collins; and brothers, David Cabe, Richard Cabe, Bradford Cabe and Willard Cabe.  Mrs. Dietrich was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 1pm until 1:45 pm Tuesday,

March 3, 2026.

Cryptside services will be held at two o’clock Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Roselane Mausoleum with Dr. Ken Dietrich officiating.

Entombment will follow.
