Mrs. Grace A. Taylor

Mrs. Grace Agnes Kraft Taylor, age 93, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her home.

Born January 21, 1928 in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Lula Mae and August Krafft.

She was preceded in death by sisters, June and Betty Lou; brothers, Dale, Denford, and Donald.

She is survived by a brother, Christie Krafft.  Grace was a graduate of East Liverpool High School and then she attended Business College.  She married the love of her life, a sailor, Karl W. Taylor, on December 24, 1946.  They were married for 61 years before Karl’s death on December 8, 2008.  Grace and Karl had an amazing adventure throughout the United States, camping and riding their motorcycle with friends and family.  Grace and Karl had four beautiful children. Karla Lee born October 16, 1947, married to Daniel Shroades.  Their children are, Kathie Louise, Julie Lynn, and Danny Karl. Sandra Lee, born November 28, 1948 and married to William “Butch” Way and their children are Tonya Ann, William Robert (deceased), and Michael Kenneth.  Karen Sue, born January 13, 1951 and married to Gary Morris.  Their child is Lori Sue and her husband is Kenneth Dallies.  Edward James Taylor, II born March 8, 1956 and married to Angela Crystal (deceased 2007).  Their children are Edward James Taylor, III (deceased), Joanna Marie, and Amy Crystal.  Ed is now with his love, Annie Cochran.  Grace had in total: 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 1:30 pm – 3 pm Friday, February 26, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at three o’clock Friday, February 26, 2021 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Mike Petty officiating.  Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Ed Taylor, Christopher Shroades, Danny Karl Shroades, Sean Shroades, Jason Emerson, and Mikey Bryman.

 

Due to the conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, social distancing will be observed.  Those attending the service are encouraged to wear a mask.
