Mrs. Dociaphine Cheek Cash

Mrs. Dociaphine Cheek Cash, age 93 of Toccoa, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the Clary Care Center.  Born April 12, 1927 in the Mize Community of Franklin, County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Bernice Keller Cheek.

Dociaphine was a member of the Toccoa First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and was also a member of the Horti-Floral Garden Club.  Dociaphine loved her flowers and could be seen most days gardening in her yard.  She enjoyed cooking and was happiest when she could feed people.  In retirement

Clyde and Dociaphine enjoyed traveling and were able to visit 48 of the 50 states.

Family members include her children, Cathy Cash Long and Larry of Charlotte, NC, Douglas A. Cash of Alpharetta, GA, and Cheryl Cash Parker and Rusty of Toccoa; grandson, Dexter Parker and Kersha of Toccoa; great-granddaughter, Kinley Parker; sisters-in-law, Laverne Cheek of Martin, GA and Mary Andrews of Stone Mountain, GA; brother-in-law, Charles Cash of Carnesville, GA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Clyde Allen Cash; by her grandson, Dylan Cane Parker; and by her brother, Keller Cheek.

Funeral services will be held at one o’clock Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the Toccoa First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Ritcey officiating.  Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Dexter Parker, Rick Cheek, Patrick Perry, Gary Cash, Al Thomason, and David Cheek.  The Willing Workers Sunday School Class and the Horti-Floral Garden Club and their spouses will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 10:30 until 12:30 Tuesday.

Due to the conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, social distancing will be observed.  Those attending the service are encouraged to wear a mask.
