Mrs. Barbara Louise Addington Rogers

Mrs. Barbara Louise Addington Rogers, age 80, of Toccoa passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 at Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born March 8, 1945 in Toccoa, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Catherine Thomas McClain Addington.

Mrs. Rogers was a retired schoolteacher with the Stephens County School System with 35 years of service and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.  She loved and adored her family, friends and colleagues, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Family members include her sons, Kirk Rogers (Jill), of Toccoa, and Bryan Rogers (Traci) of Oakwood, GA; daughter, Lisa R. Newton (David) of Buford, GA; grandchildren, Kole Rogers, Brett Rogers, Bryce Rogers, Taylor Rogers and Luke Newton; brother, Stan Addington (Marlene); nephew, Mike Addington; and nieces, Missy Vigue and Angie Wallace.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Miller.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12 noon – 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025.

Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary at two o’clock Saturday, March 29, 2025 with Dr. Fred Lodge officiating.  Entombment will follow at Roselane Mausoleums.

Kirk Rogers, Bryan Rogers, David Newton, Kole Rogers, Brett Rogers, Bryce Rogers and Luke Newton will serve as pallbearers.
