Mrs. Barbara Anne McCombs Watson

Mrs. Barbara Anne McCombs Watson, age 86, of Toccoa, Ga., passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at The Overlook.
A daughter of the late Gerald William McCombs and Regina Lee Purks McCombs, she was born August 20, 1938, in the District of Columbia.
Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a military wife and lived all over the states. She lived the last 48 years in Toccoa.  She was a member of Saint Mary Catholic Church. She was president of the Ladies Guild. Barbara did many things at Saint Mary, from helping organize fundraisers, delivering Thanksgiving food baskets to the needy, serving meals for church dinners and much more. Barbara loved doing crafts, reading and working in her yard. She had some of the most beautiful flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Muns Watson, Jr., two brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Watson Kelley of Toccoa; sons and daughters-in-laws, William Dale Watson and Carla of Madison, Ala., James Edward Watson and Lisa of Baldwin, Ga., and Stephen Christopher Watson of Toccoa; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy McGill and Sharon McCombs  and brother John McCombs; sister-in-law Janice Watson Jones, brother-in-law Barry Watson and wife Barbara; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Whitlock Mortuary on Sunday, April 6, 2025, 2-5 p.m.
Funeral mass will be held Monday, April 7, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Saint Mary Catholic Church with Father Henry Phan and Deacon Greg Ollick officiating.
Graveside services and entombment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens.
The following grandsons will serve as pallbearers; Shaun Mullen, Brandon Watson, William J. Beck, Timothy McKim, Josh Watson, and Aden Watson. Honorary pallbearers will be; Knox Watson, James Norris and Jackie Whitmire
.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Mary Catholic Church.
