Mr. Sirah Thomas Sullivan II

Mr. Sirah Thomas Sullivan II, age 71, of Toccoa, Georgia, passed away on April 19, 2026, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.

Thomas was born to Sirah and Alice Sullivan on June 24, 1954, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Thomas graduated from Campbell University.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 25 years, Robin.  He is also survived by his daughter, Melissa Ruth Sullivan.  He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Earl Sullivan.

He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Jennifer Mauco; his beloved granddaughter, Hannah Mauco; and his stepson, James Moore. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Sirah Thomas Sullivan, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Alice; his sisters, Linda (Jack) Povlich and Patty (Mike) Walker.  He is survived by his mother-in-law, Gloria Hines, and other family members, whom he loved very much.

Thomas was a devoted husband who deeply loved and cared for Robin. His support for her was unwavering, especially throughout her battles with cancer. Thomas always put the needs of others before his own; he truly had a servant’s heart.  One of his true passions in life was reading and studying.  He could spend countless hours studying in his office.  Thomas dedicated his life to nurturing and showing the love of God to those around him.  His professional journey was also a calling to serve those that were less fortunate.  He and Robin served together in ministry and also worked together with youth in the foster care systems, both in North Carolina and in Florida.  Thomas served those that battled addiction, mental illness, disabilities and homelessness with the compassion and care of Jesus.

Thomas loved to teach the Word of God.  He served as an associate pastor and as a teacher in many churches throughout his life.  While residing in Palm Bay, Florida, he founded Connections Christian Fellowship where he served as pastor and developed lasting friendships.  Thomas’s introspective nature allowed him to be great listener. If he wasn’t serving others or reading, he also enjoyed the peace and solitude of the beach.

Thomas was a devoted member of Grace Fellowship. Thomas and Robin lived in Toccoa for only two years yet felt such a sense of community and belonging within the church family at Grace Fellowship.  The Sullivan family is very grateful for all the kindness shown during Thomas’ illness.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Grace Fellowship of Toccoa.  Pastor Aaron Santor will be officiating.
