Mr. Roger Leon Walker

Mr. Roger Leon Walker, age 78, of Martin, GA passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at his home.

Born December 15, 1945 in Stephens County, he was the son of the late Howard and Lura Mize Walker.

Mr. Walker retired from Uarco/Standard Register, and was a member of Eastanollee Baptist Church.  He loved to fish and shoot pool, and he loved his farm and cattle.

Family members include his wife of 51 years, Linda Evans Walker, of Martin, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Jennifer Walker, of Martin, GA; daughter, Melanie Tardella, of Martin, GA; grandchildren, Scott Tardella, Rebecca Tardella and Nathan Walker; step-grandchildren, Chris Savage and Krista Savage; brothers, Haden Walker, Ab Walker, Duck Walker, Belton Walker and Olin Walker; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Miranda Walker; granddaughter, Olivia Walker; brother, Cleophus Walker; sisters, Jessie Nicholson, Ann Mason, Helen Nunnally and Doris Payne.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12pm – 1:30pm Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at two o’clock Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Eastanollee Baptist Church with the Rev. Ricky McFarlin and the Rev. Ken Jackson officiating.  Burial will follow at Eastanollee Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers:  Brad Walker, Nathan Walker, Mack Walker, William Walker, Ronald Walker and Phillip Walker.
