Mr. Roger Harold Walker

Mr. Roger Harold Walker, age 68 of Arlo Todd Road, Toccoa passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026, at his residence.

A son of the late Harold Walker and Violet Pauline Scott Walker, he was born February 28. 1958 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived all his life in Habersham County.  He retired from Norfolk Southern Railway with 37 years of service.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed NASCAR racing and dirt track racing.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his life partner of 30 years, Bernice Holtzclaw; son, Phillip Walker of Toccoa; sisters, Donna Walker and her friend, April Canady of Alto and Diane Canup of Mt. Airy; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Jill Walker of Toccoa; grandchildren, Chris Walker, Levi Walker, Samara Beck, Colby Wayne McDonald and Lynn McDonald; nephew, David Brock.

Graveside services Thursday, August 27, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Chopped Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with The Reverend Stacy Penland officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Kenneth Walker, Phillip Walker, Colby McDonald, Christopher Walker, Mark Holtzclaw, Jr. and Charlie Jamieson.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Chopped Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Roger Harold Walker.
