Mr. Michael Wade “Purcy” Purcell

Mr. Michael Wade “Purcy” Purcell, age 58 of Gooseneck Road, Eastanollee passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022.

A son of the late Clarence and Robbie Powers Purcell, he was born August 29, 1963 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was a member of the FFA Alumni and the Cattlemen’s Association of Georgia.  He loved riding motorcycles, enjoyed fixing things, helping anyone in need and an avid prankster.  He loved his grandchildren, Luke and Kaydence.

Survivors include his loving spouse, Jeannie Tatum of the home; two sons and daughter-in-law, Brandon Purcell of Clearwater, Florida and Steven and Kelsey Purcell of Toccoa; grandchildren, Luke and Kaydence Purcell; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert Purcell, Kenneth Purcell and Terry and Chris Purcell all of Eastanollee; sisters and brother-in-law, Francine and Danny Lee of Toccoa and Mildred Haddock of Anderson, South Carolina.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 29, 2022, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jewel Gaines and The Reverend Roger Elrod officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Darrin Dalrymple, Timothy Dalrymple, Jeff Ventura, Jeffery Ventura, Steven Purcell, Jeff Bowen, Alan Means and Scott Wiley.  Honorary pallbearers will be Wolfie Hughes, Steven Smith, Darryl Addison, John Smith, Dylan Mitchell, Robert Purcell, Kenneth Purcell and Terry Purcell.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday, 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Michael Wade “Purcy” Purcell.
