Mr. Marvin Broadus Brady

Mr. Marvin Broadus Brady, age 98, of Toccoa, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025 at Ashton Senior Living in Gainesville, GA.

Born February 23, 1927 in Banks County, GA, he was the son of the late Alvin Broadus and Beulah Mae Burrell Brady.

He was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Carpenter’s Service Tire and Recapping with more than 35 years of service.  Marvin was an Army WWII Veteran.

Family members include his son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Karen Brady of Eastanollee; daughter, Elaine Brady of Murrayville; grandsons and their spouses, Joshua and Kacie Brady of Toccoa and Matthew and Sarah Brady of Gainesville; great-grandchildren, David Brady, Benjamin Brady and Natalie Brady; sister, Opal Shearin of Toccoa; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Evelyn Whiten Brady; sisters, Betty Jean Smith and Vernelle DeFoor; and a brother, Morris Brady.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 1pm until 2:45pm Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at three o’clock Thursday, April 17, 2025 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Dr. Wayne Edwards officiating.

Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the United States Army.

Joshua Brady, Matthew Brady, Steve Addison, Jerry DeFoor, Ronnie Brady, and Mark Shearin will serve as pallbearers.
