Mr. Malcom “Mack” George Scott

Mr. Malcom “Mack” George Scott, age 82 of Mize Road, Toccoa passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the Clary Center in Toccoa.

A son of the late Thomas Jack Scott and Pearl Ramey Scott Mullinax, he was born December 29, 1939 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was a 1958 graduate of Toccoa High School. He was retired from National Linen with 30 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church and the Agoga Sunday School Class. He served in the Georgia National Guard for 8 years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wallace Scott.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Jackie Adams Scott of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Greg Fowler of Carnesville, Georgia; grandchildren, Brandon and Nicole Fowler and Leann and Denver Ivester; great-grandchildren, Hess, Caleigh and Houston Fowler; sister-in-law, Sarah Scott of Gainesville, Georgia.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 6, 2022, 4 o’clock p.m. at the First Baptist Church with The Reverend David Ritcey and The Reverend Bill Evans officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and should assemble at the funeral home by 3:15 p.m., Brandon Fowler, Denver Ivester, Greg Fowler, Dale Twilley, Dwight Williams, Doug Anderson, Hess Fowler and Houston Fowler.  The Agoga Sunday School Class will serve as honorary escort and they should meet at the church by 3:30 p.m.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 2 p.m. until time to leave for the service at 4 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Brett Sanders officiating.
