Mr. Lloyd Andrew Pless

Mr. Lloyd Andrew Pless, Age 79 of Fowlertown Road, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family.

 

A son of the late Claude J. Pless and Mattie Lee Merck Pless, he was born June 10, 1946, in Elberton, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County.  He owned and operated Lloyde’s Paint and Body Shop for 35 years before retiring.  He was of the Holiness faith.  He enjoyed fishing and going to dirt tracks to see the old cars.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Floyd Pless, Sonny Pless, Brenda Fowler, Linda Gibby, Faye Brown, Joyce Hayes and Tim Pless.

 

Survivors include his wife of the home, Evelyn Fuller Pless; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Wayne Thomason of Toccoa and Leighann and the Reverend Dr. Paul Milligan of Bonaire, Georgia; grandchildren, Leslie and Jay Vickery, Phillip and Allie Thomason, Paul Milligan, Madison Milligan and Cole Milligan; great-grandchildren, AJ and Sawyer Vickery, Natalie Thomason, Emily Thomason and Sophie Thomason; brother, Tommy Pless of Eastanollee; sisters, Joanne Fambrough, Ruby Norris and Martha Dutton all of Toccoa.

 

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 3, 2026, 2 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Dr. Paul Milligan officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jay Vickery, Phillip Thomason, Brian Fuller, Paul Milligan, Brad Stancil and William Brown.

 

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

 

Interment will follow in the Toccoa City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Lloyde Andrew Pless.
