Mr. Goss Jr. Holcomb
Mr. Goss Jr. Holcomb, age 76 of Collins Road, Toccoa passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at his residence.
A son of the late Jimmy and Della Craig Holcomb, he was born July 9, 1944 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was employed with Scott Brothers Crushed Stone and later with Master’s Furniture Company for a number of years. He was a member of Calvary Temple of Deliverance. He was a loving father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Mae Simpson Holcomb and by two sisters, Bobbie Holcomb and Willie Gibby.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Rodney Holcomb and Gary and Dana Holcomb both of Martin; two grandsons, Douglas Holcomb and Cody Holcomb; four brothers, Ronnie Holcomb and Furman Holcomb both of Toccoa, Fred Holcomb of Mountain Rest, South Carolina and James Holcomb of Martin; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 12, 2021, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Aaron Elrod and The Reverend Tim Griffin officiating.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday from noon until the service time. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed. Masks are encouraged. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Toccoa City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Goss Jr. Holcomb.
