Mr. Freddy Bates

Mr. Freddy Bates, age 80, of Toccoa, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024, at his home.

He was born January 20, 1944 in Carrollton, GA.  Freddy was a heavy equipment operator most of his life, but could do most anything, and he took pride in his work.

Family members include his wife, Patricia Gulley; two daughters, Kristi Bates (Rusty Fitzpatrick), and Tina Bates of Lexington, GA; a son, Curtis (Jessica) Stamper of Kentucky; a stepdaughter, Apryl Holtzclaw; eight grandchildren, Kayla Marshall, Brittany Streetman, Brandon, Caleb, and Lillie Stamper, Conner and Gracie Holtzclaw, and Mercedes Mcdaniel; two great-grandchildren, Jayda Huff and Aayden Faust.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bridgett Bates.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

Graveside services will be held at eleven o’clock Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Roselane Cemetery.
