Mr. Douglas Arnold Wood

Mr. Douglas Arnold Wood, age 78, of the Clarks Creek Community, Martin, GA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 27, 2026.

Born March 27, 1948, he was the son of the late Lake Arnold and Ila Jordan Wood.

Doug was a graduate of Franklin County High School.  He retired from Coats and Clark after many years of employment.  Doug attended Clarks Creek Baptist Church.

Family members include his son, Brent Wood of Eastanollee.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Gail Auer.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 5pm – 7pm Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at three o’clock Thursday, July 30, 2026 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Byron Kennedy officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.
