Mr. Charles Edward McCollum

Mr. Charles Edward McCollum age 67, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021

at his home.

Born June 9, 1953 in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Robert Clarence McCollum and the late Modena Garland McCollum.

Charles was of the Baptist Faith and was a Deputy Sheriff with the Stephens County Sheriff’s Department for many years.  He was also a United States Army Veteran.

Family members include his son, Kevin McCollum of Toccoa; daughters, Nicole McCollum of Toccoa and Rhonda McCollum Williams of Hall County; grandchildren, Jaedon Williams, Blake McCollum, Zachary McCollum, Mason Williams, and Katherine McCollum; sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirley and Robert Neal, Vickey Ragsdale, and Jeanette Jamieson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Seay McCollum; brother, William Robert McCollum; and a grandson, Devon McCollum.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 11 am until 12:45 pm.

Funeral services will be held at one o’clock Saturday, April 10, 2021 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary.

Burial will follow at Rock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the United States Army Honor Guard.

Due to the conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, social distancing will be observed.  Those attending the service are encouraged to wear a mask.
