Mr. Bobby “Zeke” Edward McCroskey
Mr. Bobby “Zeke” Edward McCroskey, age 84 of Toccoa passed away Thursday October 15, 2020 at Miller County Hospital.
A son of the late Fulton Edward and Cleta Carter McCroskey, he was born in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all of his life. He was a 1954 graduate of Toccoa High School, where he played football and basketball. He was a avid sports fan and enjoyed bowling, golf and playing pool. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Germany. He retired from Coats and Clark with forty years of service; he also attended Persimmon Church of God. He was preceded in death by sisters Frances Henderson and Mammie Kay McCroskey, step brothers Earl Rathburn and Dewey Rathburn.
Survivors include his wife of home Tammy King McCroskey, brothers and sisters-in-law Billy Joe and Yoneko McCroskey of Minnesota, Kenneth Dale and Nell McCroskey of South Carolina and Dwain and Leslie King of South Carolina, sisters Sonja Pettigrew of California and Evelyn Walker of Eastanollee, step-sister Mary Bailey of Bowman, Georgia, half sisters Elaine (Marty) McCroskey of Toccoa, Judy (H.L) Walker of Toccoa, , Linda and Randy, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Teddy and Nita King of Clayton, Georgia, Aletta and Rick Vickery of Lavonia, Harriett King of Lavonia, Shaun and Sara King of Lavonia and mother-in-law Shelby Heaton of Toccoa.
Funeral services will be held Friday October 23, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Teddy King officiating. The family will be at the home and will receive friends on Friday from 9 A.M. til service time.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Adam King, Stephen King, Seth King, Jordan King, Casey King and Tim Durham.
A private interment will be in Georgia National Cemetery.
