Monday’s Covid-19 Numbers for Stephens and Surrounding Area

After a weekend spike in positive cases of Covid-19, Stephens County is up four more in the latest report.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, Stephens County now has had 216 cases of COVID-19. As of Monday afternoon, Stephens County has had six deaths due to complications from the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Habersham County is reported to have had 666 positive cases of the virus and 35 fatalities due to complications from the virus. Franklin County has 187 cases and one death, Banks County has a total of 130 cases, Rabun County is at 42 cases and three deaths, and Hart County has 56 cases.

Across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is reporting a total of 79,417 cases, up 6,422 since Friday’s report, 214 have been hospitalized since Friday bringing the total hospitalizations to 10,824, and 14 more have died from complications of the virus since Friday bringing the total deaths to 2,784.
