Madison County Takes Two from Indians

The ball just would not go in the basket for the Stephens County Lady Indians Monday night as they fell 46-17 to the Lady Raiders of Madison County.

Fayeth Ivester was the leading scorer for Stephens County with 9 points. The Lady Raiders had eleven players score on the evening with Janiah Brown leading all scorers with 9 points.
Stephens County girls fall to 2-7 while Madison County’s girls are 3-6.

In the boy’s game, the Indians led after the first quarter 19-17, but trailed at the half and Madison County went on a scoring binge in the second half and came away with a 71-45
victory.

Jay Carruth led all scorers with 20 points, followed by Mason Smith with 16 and Chris Rhodes with 11.
Nori Winters and Corey Richie each had 11 points for Stephens County.
Next up for both teams will be the first round of the Christmas Tournament, Dec. 27th and 28th.

The Stephens County girls will play Powdersville, South Carolina in the first game at 4PM followed by the Indian boys taking on Walhalla, South Carolina in the second game.
