Madison County takes the win against the Lady Indians, 4-3

Despite a 4-run deficit in the fifth inning, the Stephens County Lady Indians almost came back, but eventually came up short to Madison County, 4 to 3 on Tuesday in high school softball.  Stephens County scored their three runs on a double by Aly Singletary and a single by Jasmine Lowery in the seventh inning.  Madison County took the early lead on a single in the second inning.  Emma Whitfield took the loss for Stephens County. She surrendered four runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out five and no walks.  Lowery went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Lady Indians in hits. Stephens County drops to 10 & 7 overall and 3 & 3 in region play.  The Lady Indians will travel to Oconee County Thursday for another region contest—game time is scheduled for 5:30.
