Lowery Signs with Piedmont College
Stephens County High School senior softball standout, Jasmine Lowery, has signed a scholarship to play softball at Piedmont College in Demorest.
Jasmine is the daughter of Tim and Jennie Lowery. She has been a member of the varsity squad for 4 years playing catcher and shortstop. She has made 1st team All-Region as a sophomore, junior and senior.
Jasmine says she knew on her first visit that Piedmont was where she wanted to go. “I first visited there for a camp and then I just decided as soon as I stepped on the field that this was my home for the next four years, and I just fell in love with the campus and atmosphere of Piedmont.”
Going to the state tournament as a freshman and playing for the state title is a memory Jasmine says she will always take with her. “It’s very memorable because we went to state my freshman year and got state runner-up. And the last 3 years we only got to go to the first round of state playoffs, but it was still so much fun—it’s unforgettable, I know that.”
While at Piedmont Jasmine will be in the nursing program and plans to go to med school and become a trauma surgeon.
