Local Ministry Collecting Buckets of Cleaning Supplies to Send to NC Community

Flood waters from Hurricane Florence continue to rise in parts of North Carolina, and the P230 Foundation is again collecting supplies to take to hurricane victims – this time in Whiteville, North Carolina near the coast.

P230 Foundation founder Steve Paysen said Monday, they are again asking people to buy a bucket of cleaning supplies.

“Like we did for Houston we’re sending in buckets filled with cleaning supplies,” he said. “Then a week from Thursday we will send those up there. We’re also sending pallets of bottled water and bleach to send in as well. Those buckets can be purchased for $10.”

P230 is coordinating with churches in Columbus County, NC to send supplies

Those cleaning supplies, bleach and water will be taken to churches in Columbus County just south of Wilmington, NC where they will be sorted and distributed to those in need.

Paysen said when his group took up a similar donation for Houston hurricane victims last year the response was tremendous and he’s hoping for a similar outpourting this time.

“I brag on our community all of the time. I think we’re one of the most compassionate communities around because our

people understand what it is to struggle,” Paysen said. “So helping others who are struggling is not difficult for us. We know it. We live it everyday so people have no problem stepping up and helping other people through their struggles. So I’m asking people to donate a bucket or money. They can donate to P230.org and we will cover our expenses and anything extra will go to that community.”

Paysen all of the money will be used to provide relief to hurricane victims.

Again, you can buy a bucket of cleaning supplies at Quality Foods on Big A Road for $10 or to make a monetary donation go online to www.P230.org.
