Local High School Varsity Football Playoff Games

Stephens County will travel to Crisp County for the opening round of the GHSA AA Football State Playoffs. The #19 seed Indians finished the regular season with a 5-5 record and 3rd place finish in region-8. Crisp County is the #14 seed and went 4-6 with a 2nd place finish in region 3. Other teams from region 8 are also on the road with Franklin County @ Callaway, Hart County @ Appling County, and East Jackson @ Columbia.

Other playoff pairings will see Habersham Central hosting Statesboro in 5A, Jefferson ( the #1 seed in AAA) will host Dougherty, 2nd seed North Hall will host Mt. Zion Jonesboro, and Oconee County will travel to Northwest Whitfield.

Hebron Christian is the #2 seed and Prince Avenue Christian is the #7 seed in the Private School playoffs with both teams receiving 1st round byes.

The Class A playoff pairings have yet to be posted at this time.

The playoffs are set to begin the weekend of Nov. 14.
