Latest Numbers Reflect Covid-19 Rise in Habersham and State

The Georgia Department of Public Health is now reporting a total of 1,395 positive cases of Covid-19 and still 46 deaths in Stephens County since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Thursday afternoon.

The latest report now has Habersham County with 77 deaths, one more than Wednesday’s report, and now 40 more positive cases in one day for a total of 2,108 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Hart County is still reporting 20 deaths and now 678 cases, Franklin County is still  reporting 19 deaths and now 1,097 positive cases, Rabun County is still  reporting 11 deaths and now 523 cases, and Banks County is reporting another death bringing the total to 11, and now 682 cases.

For the second straight day the numbers reflect a rise in cases across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is now reporting over 5,000 new cases since Tuesday for a total of 396,641 cases, of those, 33,778 have been hospitalized, 339 more since Tuesday, and 73 more died from complications of the virus bringing that total to 8,569.
