Latest DPH Report-No Additional Deaths-26 More Cases

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting 70 COVID-related deaths in Stephens County with 2,838 residents testing positive for the virus, since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Tuesday afternoon and had no additional deaths and 26 total positive cases in the six county area of: Stephens, Habersham, Hart, Franklin, Rabun, and Banks.

The latest report still has Habersham County with 136 deaths and now 4,523 positive cases of the virus. Hart County is still reporting 35 deaths and now 1,631 cases.

In other neighboring counties, Hart County is still reporting 35 deaths and now 1,631 cases, Franklin County still has  36 deaths and 2,247 positive cases, Rabun County is now reporting 1,419 cases and still 36 deaths, and Banks County is still reporting 30 deaths and now 1,532 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health the number of positive cases across the state have stayed lower than the norm with 2,297 cases reported, for a total now of 808,416 positive cases of the virus across the state of Georgia, of those 284 more were hospitalized for a total now of 55,167 that have been hospitalized, and the total death count due to complications of the virus has now risen by 72 to 14,761.
