Latest Covid Report Shows Six More Area Deaths

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting 63 deaths in Stephens County and now 2,549 residents that have tested positive for the virus since the beginning of the pandemic.

The latest report was released Thursday afternoon.

DPH is reporting addition deaths in surrounding counties.

The latest report has two more deaths in Habersham County bringing the total deaths to 107 and now 4,196 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Rabun County is also reporting two more deaths for a total now of 29 and now 1,275 cases,  Hart County is reporting another death for a total now of 25 and now 1,460 cases, Banks County is reporting another death for a total now of 24 and now 1,389 cases, and Franklin County still has 25 deaths and now 2,003 positive cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there have been nearly 6,000 more cases for a total of  701,308 positive cases of the virus across the state of Georgia, of those, 47,680 have been hospitalized and the total death count due to complications of the virus has now risen to 11,511. DPH is reporting 100 more deaths in since Wednesday.
