Latest Area and State Covid Report

The latest DPH Covid-19 Report continued to show a  lower rate of reported positive cases across the counties of Stephens, Habersham, Franklin, Hart, Rabun, and Banks with just 37 cases reported across the six county area, 17 in Stephens, but two deaths reported in Habersham County since Wednesday.

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting 67 COVID-related deaths in Stephens County with 2,791 residents testing positive for the virus, since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report has two additional deaths in Habersham County with a total now of 127 deaths in the county due to complications of the virus, and now 4,458 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Hart County is still reporting 33 deaths and now 1,598 cases, Franklin County still has had 33 deaths and now 2,198 positive cases, Rabun County is now reporting three less cases and a total now of 1,385, and still 34 deaths,  and Banks County is still reporting 28 deaths and now 1,495 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there were 3,327 positive cases across the state since the Wednesday report. There has now been a total of 783,821 confirmed positive cases of the virus across the state of Georgia, of those, 310 more were hospitalized for a total now of 52,853, and the total death count due to complications of the virus rose by 73 to 13,672.
