Last week to register for Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program

Registration for the Toccoa Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program ends this week in Toccoa-Stephens County.

According to Social Worker Brenda Gragg with the Toccoa Salvation Army, this year, parents or guardians will use an online form to sign up their child or children to participate in the annual program.

She says you can visit www.saangeltree.org to fill out the form.

Anyone who doesn’t have access to a computer can call the Salvation Army of Toccoa at 706-886-5293 to complete the form by phone.

Gragg says this year, the program will help children ages 12 and under.

She adds that the online system should eliminate a lot of common errors.

Parents and guardians can register their children until the end of October.

For residents who would like to provide gifts for children at need a link will be available on November 2, where you can select a child to buy gifts for and print a list of their sizes and most wanted gifts.

Last year, the Salvation Army of Toccoa provided Christmas presents to 700 kids in Toccoa-Stephens County.

Gragg says they expect to have at least 700 kids registered this year.
