Lake Death ruled Blunt Force Trauma

The weekend death of an Aiken man at Lake Keowee near Seneca has been classified accidental.  Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis says Brock Jackson’s death came from blunt force trauma to the chest, consistent with impact with a fixed object.  The coroner said 20-year-old Jackson was pulled from the water off East Waterside Drive after multiple individuals leaped from a private dock when fireworks detonated early.  Addis said, “…it is possible the victim (Jackson) impacted a boat lift present within the slip….”
