Lady Rebels 8th Grade and 7th Grade Girls Basketball Continue to Roll

Monday December 8

Both SCMS girls’ teams won tight games with Franklin County.

The 8th Grade Lady Rebels pulled out a hard-fought 31–29 victory in a defensive battle that went down to the wire. Scoring for the Lady Rebels was led by McKennuah Merritt with 9 points, followed by Kiya Morgan with 8 points. 

The 7th grade Lady Rebels pulled out an exciting 33-32 victory. Kate Culpepper led the way with 21 points and Juquita Gresham added 9.

 

Thursday, December 11

The 8th Grade Lady Rebels picked up another exciting win with a strong performance against the Rabun County Wildcats. The Rebels played with energy on both ends of the floor, combining solid defense with timely scoring to control the pace of the game. Morgan led the Lady Rebels with 16 points, while Ella Fletcher added an impressive 15 points.

In the 7th grade girls’ game, the Lady Rebels rolled to a 34-23 win. Gresham led the way with a game high 16 points and Culpepper added 11 points.

 

 

Monday, December 15

The 8th Grade Lady Rebels turned in another strong performance, shaking off a slow start before quickly gaining momentum to defeat Madison County 36–16. After the opening minutes, the Lady Rebels settled in defensively and took control of the game with consistent pressure and balanced scoring.

Emma John Crunkleton led the Rebels with 15 points, followed closely by Morgan with 13 points.

The 7th grade Lady Rebels also continued their winning ways with a 27-18 win. Gresham scored 10 points and Culpepper 9 to lead the way.

Both Lady Rebels teams will return to the hardwood in the new year on January 6th at Habersham.
