Lady Indians Soccer Earn Home Win Over Madison

The Stephens County Lady Indians soccer team improved to 4-1 on the season with an exciting 5-4 home victory over Madison County on Tuesday night.

Freshman Belle Ivester opened the scoring for Stephens County with a goal four minutes into the game. Two minutes later, Sophomore Brandy Sullivan scored to make it 2-0.

Madison County got their first score to cut the lead in half, but the Lady Indians added another goal before halftime from Junior Elli Stacy to make the score 3-1 at halftime.

The Lady Indians added to the lead in the second half with goals by Ivester on a penalty kick, and freshman Jalyiah Jones to take a resounding 5-1 lead.

The Red Raiders made a furious comeback with three goals in a 5-minute period, but the Lady Indians were able to hold on the final 18 minutes for the win.

The Lady Indians will next travel to North Hall on Friday at 5:30 P.M.
