Lady Indians defeat St. Pius, 15-6, in high school softball

The Stephens County Lady Indians softball team ended the regular season on a winning note with a 15 to 6 victory over St. Pius X Catholic on Thursday.

Aly Singletary took the win for the Lady Indians.  She surrendered six runs on eight hits over seven innings, striking out one.  Stephens County racked up 16 hits on the day.

Jasmine Lowery and Singletary each collected three hits to lead the Lady Indians.

Stephens County finished the regular season with a record of 12-10 with a region record of 4-4.

The lady Indians finished the season as the number 3 seed entering the region tournament starting October 1st and October 3rd.

The Lady Indians will play at 2 p.m. in Madison County against Oconee County.
