Lady Indians Advance-Indians Boys Season Ends in State Playoffs

The Stephens County Lady Indians tennis team has advanced to the 2nd round of the AAA state playoffs with a decisive 5-0 win over Sandy Creek on Monday at the Stephens County Tennis Complex.

Madison Rogers, Ali Wilson, and Gabbi Boyd got singles wins. Kaylin Snyder and Tenley Boyd, and Erin Terrell and Abby Whitfield won in doubles.

It was the Lady Indians 12th shutout win of the season and they improve to 15-3 overall. The Lady Indians will now travel to Murray County for a 2nd round match this Friday at 3:30 P.M.

The season came to an end for the Stephens County boys tennis team falling 5-0 at Greater Atlanta Christian in the 1st round of the AAA state playoffs. The Indians finish the season at 13-6.

It was the final match for Indians seniors Kenny Colwell, Kyle Watson, and Kegan Mealor.

It was also the final match for the Indians outstanding coach Donny Williams. Williams just completed his 14th year as coach of the Indians and amassed 182 wins at the school.
