Indians Wrap up Pre-Season at White County
The Stephens County Indians traveled to White County Friday night for a pre-season football scrimmage game against the Warriors. White County came away with a 13 to 7 win.
The Indians dominated the stats, but were not able to put up any points until 10 minutes to go in the game when sophomore running back Kegan Mealor ran for a 3 yard touchdown. White County scored on a couple of J. Ben Haynes touchdown passes—a 28-yard screen pass late in the second quarter and a 42 yard pass late in the third.
Stephens County’s highlights were both in the first quarter–a 40-yard pass from quarterback Kenny Colwell to fullback Ty Kellar and a 41-yard run by Charles Cochran.
