Indians Win Big Over Jaguars

The Stephens County Indians Baseball team sent 16 hitters to the plate in the 4th inning and 10 scored to break open a 3-0 game, and cruised to a 13-1 victory in five innings over Cedar Shoals Thursday night in Athens.

In the 4th inning, the Indians had just 4 hits, but took advantage of seven walks and two hit batters.

Cruz Mullinix had 4 RBI’s to lead the Indians, Garrett Burgess added 3 RBI’s, and Carson Worley and William Rudeseal each had a RBI.

Mason Roberts scored two runs in the game, and Ayden Garmon, Burgess, Worley, Mullinix, Ben Stowe, Ian Rumsey, Seth Jameson, Garrett Pless, Rudeseal, Hank Arrowood, and Jacob Pruitt scored.

Garmon got the win on the mound striking out five of the six batters he faced. Mullinix and Issac McCollum also pitched.

The Indians pick up their 3rd straight win and improve to 4-2 on the season. Cedar Shoals falls to 1-2.

The Indians are scheduled to return to the diamond Friday (weather permitting) when they host Habersham Central at 5:30 P.M.
