Indians Win Big in Five at East Hall
The Stephens County Indians scored six runs on one hit in the top of the 1st inning and rolled to an 11-0 victory over East Hall in five innings Friday night in Gainesville.
The Indians took advantage of five walks and four errors by the Vikings in the 1st inning and sent 12 men to the plate.
The Indians finished the game with four hits, but got 2 RBI’s each from Landon Carter, Eli Sewell, and Branson Stowe. Duke Collins and Noah Holbrooks added an RBI each, and Findley Ward scored 3 runs in the game.
Holbrooks was the story on the mound for the Indians with five scoreless innings while allowing 3 hits with no walks and striking out 5.
Stephens County improves to 10-1 on the season. East Hall falls to 6-6.
Stephens County will return home on Monday vs. Kell High School out of Marietta. First pitch is scheduled for 5:55 P.M. with airtime set for 5:40 P.M. on WNEG.
