Indians travel to play Blue Devils at Granite Bowl on Friday

The Stephens County Indians will play on the road for the second consecutive week tonight as they travel to the Granite Bowl in Elberton to play the Elbert County Blue Devils in high school football action. Both teams lost their season openers last Friday night—the Indians lost to Habersham Central, 27 to 3, and the Blue Devils lost to Hart County, 51 to 20. Last season, Stephens County came away with a hard-fought home victory over Elbert County, 38 to 21. Kickoff tonight will be at 7:30 p.m.
Last night on the Crunch Time radio program, Indians Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Line Coach Brad Whitfield said both Stephens County and Elbert County will be looking for their first win after losing to rivals last Friday:

In other games tonight: Habersham Central will host Flowery Branch, Franklin County hosts Johnson of Gainesville, Hart County will travel to Madison County, Commerce will host East Jackson, and Rabun County will host Fannin County. Banks County and White County will have the night off.
