Indians to host Rabun County Wildcats tonight in high school football

The Stephens County Indians will host the Rabun County Wildcats tonight for Homecoming at The Reservation in high school football action.  Last week, the Indians lost on the road at Athens Academy, 49 to 19, dropping their record to 1 & 2.  Meanwhile, Rabun County had an open date last Friday, but 2 weeks ago, the Wildcats defeated North Murray at home, 38 to 17.  Rabun County’s record is 2 & 0, and the Wildcats are rated #5 in the state in Class AA.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio show, Indians defensive back coach, Rocky Fulbright, said the Indians offense will be facing a very good Rabun County defense tonight.

Kick-off at The Reservation tonight is set for 7:30 p.m.  Coverage on 93.1 FM & AM 630 WNEG begins at 5:30 p.m. with the Indian Tailgate Show, followed by Coach’s Corner at 7 p.m. and pre-game coverage starts at 7:15 p.m.  You can also listen online to Indian football at wnegradio.com.

In other area games tonight, Habersham Central will travel to Franklin County; Banks County will be on the road at East Jackson; and White County host Pickens County.

Looking around Region 8-AAAA, Madison County host Hart County; Oconee County plays at Morgan County, and North Oconee will travel to Elbert County.

Commerce has the night off.
