Indians Tennis Teams Sweep Lions

The Stephens County High School tennis team won all 10 matches vs. Franklin County on Tuesday at the Stephens County Tennis Facility.

The Lady Indians got a school record 10th shutout of the season winning 5-0.

Madison Rogers, Ali Wilson, and Gabbi Boyd won singles matches, and the teams of Kaylin Snyder and Tenley Boyd, and Erin Terrell and Abby Whitfield won in doubles.

The Lady Indians improve to 7-2 in Region-8 play and 12-2 overall.

The Indians boys team also won 5-0. Griffin Wilkinson, Kenny Colwell, and Dawson Childs won their singles matches, and the teams of Kegan Mealor and Kyle Watson and Levi Spencer and Clayton Bishop won in doubles.

The Indians improve to 5-4 in Region-8 play and 10-4 overall.

Both teams will be in action again on Thursday at 4 P.M. when they host Monroe Area.
