Indians take on Hart County Bulldogs at Home Tonight for Senior Night
The Stephens County Indians will host the Hart County Bulldogs at The Reservation in high school football tonight. Kickoff will be at 7:30. The Indians and the Bulldogs have identical records—4 & 4 overall and 1 & 2 in Region 8-AA.
Tonight’s winner will almost be assured of a spot in the playoffs. Stephens County is coming off a loss at Hebron Christian last Friday, 42 to 0. Hart County won last Friday at East Jackson, 40 to 10. Last year, the Indians won in Hartwell over the Bulldogs, 35 to 0.
Last night on the Crunch Time radio show, Stephens County’s defensive line coach, Brad Whitfield, said it’s an important game and he is glad it’s a home game tonight;
Coverage on 93.1 FM and AM 630 WNEG starts at 5:30 tonight with the Indian Tailgate Show live from the stadium, followed by Coach’s Corner at 7 and pre-game at 7:15.
In the other Region 8-AAA games tonight, Franklin County will host Hebron Christian and East Jackson will travel to Prince Avenue Christian.
Looking elsewhere around the area this evening, Habersham Central will host Apalachee, Madison County travels to Walnut Grove, White County will host Chestatee, Rabun County will travel to Athens Academy, and Banks County plays at Commerce. Elbert County has the night off.
