Indians Split with Wildcats

The Stephens County Indian boys ran their winning streak to four Friday night with a 59-52 win over the Rabun County Wildcats.

Cam Lacey and Nori Winters each had 10 points in the win. The Indians trailed
17-10 after the first quarter, but outscored the Cats 21-6 in the second quarter and never trailed after that.
Willie Goodwyn led the Wildcats with 19 points. Rabun County drops to 8-6 on the season .

With the victory, Stephens County is now 6-5 on the season.

The Lady Indians again were facing a Lady Wildcat team that was 12-1 on the season and it was obvious that the Lady Cats had more experience, especially on defense. Rabun County took the win 66-26.

Lucy Hood leading the scoring with 18 points. Ellie Southard had 15 points and Trea Blalock had 10.
The Lady Indians were led by A’Naya Mayweather who scored all six of her points in the first half.

The loss gives the Lady Indians a 2-10 record.
The final tune-up before the Region 8-AAA schedule will be held Saturday at Madison County. Game time is 6 P.M. with airtime on WNEG will be 5:45PM.
