Indians Split in Tennis Matches with Hart

The Stephens County Indians tennis teams split with Hart County on Monday with the Lady Indians picking up the home wins.

The Lady Indians defeated the Lady Bulldogs 4-1 in the first match, a completion from a match that began on February 25th. Madison Rogers, Ali Wilson, and Gabbi Boyd picked up wins in the singles matches, and Erin Terrell and Abby Whitfield won in doubles.

In the second match of the day, The Lady Indians again won 4-1. Rogers and Boyd won at singles. Terrell and Whitfield, and Kaylin Snyder and Tenley Boyd won doubles matches.

The Lady Indians improve to 6-2 in Region-8 play and 11-2 overall.

On the boys side, the Indians had tight losses in both matches falling 3-2.

In the first match, a continuation from February 25th, Kenny Colwell won in singles, and Kyle Watson and Keagan Mealor won in doubles.

In the second match, Colwell again won in singles, and Levi Spencer and Clayton Bishop won in doubles.

The Indians are now 4-4 in Region-8 play, and 9-4 overall.

Next match is today when both teams host Franklin County.
