Indians Roll Over Cedar Shoals

Stephens County took advantage of numerous Cedar Shoals errors and got great pitching to roll to a 16-1 win in 4 innings on a cold Tuesday night at the Reservation.

Indians pitcher Josh Henshaw, making his first start, went all four innings allowing no earned runs, 1 hit, and striking out 8.

Isaiah Martin had 2 RbI’s, and the Indians got an RBI each from Dawson Sorrells, Davis Swenson, Jordan Page, Pierce Childs, and Ridge Adams.

The Indians got help from a Jaguars defense that committed nine errors in the game.

Henshaw got the win to go 1-0, Jackson Camp got the loss for Cedar Shoals.

The win improves the Indians season record to 5-2-1. Cedar Shoals falls to 0-8.

Stephens County returns to the diamond for a home game tonight when Walhalla High School travels across the state line to visit.
